Hey hey hey!

Well I have just been on a Macro meander around the garden and managed to get my first shots of bees.
They are freakin' hard to shoot, because like most insects that collect pollen and such to stay alive
and all that jazz, they tend to move quite a bit. I must have looked rather odd trying to get close, but
not too close, to the bees in the trees, whilst also flicking my hands constantly because it was not only
cold, but the camera was incredibly heavy! (Man I am such a girl...)

The inspiration for the photos I shot today came from a local photography exhibition/auction that I attended
with some of my good friends last night. It was the first exhibition I have attended and I found it quite
enjoyable and inspiring. There are some really talented people out there and I would love to get more involved
in my photography.

Which leads me to my next point: The Future! I have decided, if nothing progresses with my job over the next
couple of months I will more than likely go back to TAFE next year to start studying photography. This excites
me quite a bit because I have been working full time for almost 2 years and when you work in retail this can be
a very grating experience to have to endure for long periods of time. So over the next few months I will be trying
to build up a portfolio of sorts. Which will definitely mean I will be expanding beyond Macro and testing the water with some
studio work and lighting work. It's all very exciting.

I will post my good stuff and let the dA community know how my portfolio is coming along.
